Run......

I spring into action, leaping past the people sandwiched together in the neighbouring lanes. The energy is coursing through my veins, giving me fuel. I feel like I have eaten a battery, the adrenaline soaring through me, empowering. My face creases into a distorted hurried expression; I don’t mind, as long as I beat them. My pale white legs burst across the track as the ground flies beneath me. I hear the cheering, see the erratic shapes. But nothing else must occupy my mind. So I do what I do best…. I run.
